Self-belief kicks in when you realise good enough IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH. When you know change is here. When you know, nothing will change if you don’t change.
While most focus on the strategic side of goal setting, there’s a much more emotional and psychological side to a goal. The part many trip up on.
Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)
It’s euphoric to witness someone’s dreams come true. I remember sitting in the stadium watching the Men’s 400m finals at the London 2012 Olympics – when the winner crossed the finish line, he dropped to his knees and cried. His unstoppable self-belief got him over the line.
I welled up, too. As I sat and watched someone else’s dream come true, I fulfilled one of my own…to attend the greatest sporting event on the planet.
This is why I do what I do. To help women turn their dreams into reality. I’ve devoted myself to honing my craft and art around seeing the light in others before they do. Believing in them before they do.
No dream is too big. No action too small.

The Making of An Olympic Dream (and the back of Usain Bolt’s head)
My fascination with human potential began when I was a tubby little 10-year old. I grew up watching the Olympics; in awe of how these superhumans pushed their bodies to the limits and set world records. Events that were both physically demanding and mentally taxing.
I couldn’t even manage a lap around the school playground in my blue Fila tracksuit (which made me look like a Teletubby).
And when I turned 16, I started testing my own potential by disrupting the status quo and setting some audacious life goals, as I defined my path.
Fast forward 20+ years to when I was living in the Cayman Islands and news about a hot new sprinter, Usain Bolt, exploded onto the scene. And I was reminded of my childhood dream…to go to the Olympics…so I casually thought if the Olympics come to London I’m going to go and see Usain Bolt.
2012 rolls around and I’m sitting amongst an 80,000 crowd in the Olympic stadium.
Now it wasn’t the stadium that created my pinch me moment, or seeing the winner cross the line in the Men’s 400m finals, or even the back of Usain Bolt’s head when he collected another one of his gold medals. It was when I set eyes on the iconic Olympics Rings. I froze. Girl, you made it!
But my dream didn’t end there. I got to meet two of the Olympians, in my hometown…Jessica Ennis-Hill and Nicole Adams (ok we didn’t sit down and have a cup of Earl Grey) but our fingers may have brushed slightly and a fleeting glance over at my cheesy grin in the crowd, beaming with national pride.
Never stop believing.
When Jessica Ennis-Hill was on the verge of winning the heptathlon, her mum sent her a text – the same advice she had been giving her daughter since she first started out…
“Don’t let the big girls push you around”…
Jess is 5’ 4” compared to the Amazonian-esq women, she competed against.
Don’t ever give up on your dreams. Don’t let anyone stand in your way. Don’t be intimidated by your competitors’ size, status or ego.
Dame Kelly Holmes won double gold at the 2004 Olympics “after 20 years of dreaming”.
